Hi, very clear explanation of the process, and probably the only place I've found about the actual practical tests! Just a question, how long is the Da Lu test? And what sort of criteria are you judged on?Is it rigorous?

Hi there! back in my time, the Da Lu test was supposed to be about 2km long but I heard about new changes recently so you'll need to check that with the school.
Back when I did it, the length and difficulty of the test was very variable: if the other candidates in your car fail, the examiner may ask you to drive longer or on the contrary might be in the mood to be more lenient (each examiner apparently has a quota of fail/pass he has to reach on every examination day). I drove less than 5 minutes while my friend drove for almost 15.
