{More on my Facebook page!}
I flew back to France for Chinese New Year, an annual ritual and almost the only time of the year I can catch up with familly and friends. But before doing so, I usually stock up on a few goodies to give away (and fulfill friends orders too ;) and the pearl market is the perfect place to do so.
Here's a quick look of my lastest purchases (note: I'm a terrible negociator and probably ended up paying more than needed....)
1. Silver Art Deco Brooch from Charity (see details below) - RMB500.
2. Pearl necklace and matching bracelet - RMB300 (all shops carry these).
3. Pomellato copied earrings (gold plated silver) - RMB700.
Marie Helene de Taillac inspired earrings (gold plated silver) - RMB500.
4. Lucky bracelet with silver detail - RMB10.
Item 2,3 and 4 are all from Charles Jewelry (see details below)
This pearl market is a three-floor building: fake brands (bags, scarves, clothing...) and other junk on the first and third floor, pearls and other jewelry on the second (more up-scale shops are on the sides, while low-end vendors are in the middle).
If you are looking for something else than pearls, only few shops are worth visiting:
Charles Jewelry (booth 2002)
This shop has lots of copies from famous brands (Pomellato, Bulgari, Chopard among others) and also accepts custom orders.
