I just recently discovered a new bookstore near JingAn Temple.
Not that many books...
Actually, there aren't that many books (and most of them are in Chinese), that place i's more of a lifestyle store: perfect for finding inspiration for a birthday or housewarming gift.
This Xinhua Bookstore is a great place to hang out on a lazy afternoon with its cofee shop on the ground floor, and its restaurant/wine bar on the second floor (more details coming up soon!).
For books, my favourites places are still on the Bund (more details here).
But lots of fun lifestyle products (colourful stationary, art prints, edgy jewelry, modern stuffed animals, contemporary bone china...)
And there's a coffee shop too, where one can sit down and relax...
