Readers, I'm back! I've been travelling a lot this last month, for work and leisure. I spent one week with my family in France at the beginning of September, close to Avignon. I had the best time there, enjoyed some great food and couldn't get enough of the beautiful nature and the cute crowd-less villages. Here are a few pictures and travel tips.

Spending the whole summer in Shanghai while everyone is enjoying holidays back home, or traveling around Asia really sucks. So we improvised another Shanghai staycation at Hotel Indigo (last one was at the Puli).

2 days in Seoul

Well 2 days or more like 4 days for a heavy sleeper like me :)

So I was in Seoul for May 1st, my first time in Korea. I had 0 expectations but was very VERY pleasantly surprised!  Lots of art (who knew?), great design, interesting architecture, cool shops, very friendly and polite people, good food... It's a great escape from Shanghai, less than 2 hours away by plane and with direct flights from Hongqiao to Gimpo Airport (closest international airport) at a reasonnable price (less than RMB2000 if lucky).

Here's a quick summary of my itinerary, it sure isn't the best but it might help you plan your next trip:

A Shanghai Staycation - The Puli Hotel

I’d been craving for a holiday but with The Hubby’s busy schedule, it was just impossible to go anywhere. So we went on a "staycation" and spent one Saturday night at the Puli Hotel. JingAn district is not exactly an adventure but it was the perfect to getaway from home, where we made time to unwind at the spa and order room service while watching stupid foreign TV channels very intellectual movies in bed.

You must have heard of Zhujiajiao, the closest water town from Shanghai (about an hour from Shanghai) notorious for its old houses lined up along canals and the criss-crossing bridges?

Planning on relaxing weekend escape out of the city? The people behind naked Retreats just opened their newest project Naked Stables Private Reserve (and NO, this is not a place where naked people run around horses). Much more upscale than the original Naked Retreat property, Naked Stables is composed of some individual rooms and 2 to 4 bedroom villas, all nested in the bamboo mountains of Moganshan.
